In addition to a fun and exciting 5K/10K event, participants receive an awesome race t-shirt, deluxe custom finisher's medal, packet filled with sponsor goodies and a complimentary classic wine tasting in the Shelton Vineyards Tasting Room (Age 21+). Spend the day with us or make plans for a couples, friends, or girls getaway weekend!
Both races start and finish at Shelton Vineyards and feature beautiful views of the vineyard and neighboring country farms. The 5K Team Challenge offers a chance for you and your friends to show everyone who has the fastest team and take home the 5K Team Challenge trophy. Little "vine-runners" can take part in the Kids 1/2 Mile Kid's Fun Run sponsored by Chick-fil-A, where each will receive their own finisher's medal.

Stick around after the race and delicious wine, tours and tastings, and free live music at the Shelton Vineyards Terrace stage outside of the Tasting Room from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Kid's 1/2 Mile Fun Run (Under 10 yrs.) $15 (includes a race t-shirt for kids pre-registered by April 27th and a finisher's medal for completing the Fun Run).
Packets will not be mailed to entrants. Races run rain or shine. Registration fees are not refundable.
You must register no later than April 27th to guarantee your race t-shirt and size.
Race t-shirts may be available on race day on a first-come, first-served basis in limited sizes and quantities. Our t-shirts are a super-soft, cotton-poly blend short-sleeve tee in unisex sizes.
Running the Vines 5K Team Challenge
Participating in the Team Challenge is easy! Runners can create a new team or join an existing team when they register online for the 5K.
Sign up with your friends, coworkers, school team, or running group. Anyone can participate in the Team Challenge! Run for the "fastest team" trophy or just for fun.
A minimum of 5 team members must complete the 5K to be eligible for the Team Challenge "fastest team" award; there is no maximum number of members on a team. The team's score is calculated by the average time of the top 5 finishers on the team. The fastest team score wins the 5K Team Challenge trophy.
*Team members are also eligible for the 5K individual overall and age group awards.
Both the 5K and 10K races start and finish at Shelton Vineyards! All race parking will be located at Shelton Vineyards and races will start and finish in front of the winery.

Those who would prefer to walk or run/walk are asked to sign up for the 5K. Strollers are allowed on the 5K, dogs are not permitted on the course, but are allowed outdoors on the grounds of Shelton Vineyards while leashed.

Timing & Awards
All 5K and 10K finishers will receive a finisher's medal.
The Top 3 Overall Male and Female winners and Age Division winners of the 5K and 10K will receive a special custom medal.
Top 3 Overall Male and Female winners of the 5K and 10K will also take home a signed bottle of Shelton Vineyards wine, a custom engraved stemless wine glass, and a premium Shelton Vineyards prize package.
The 5K Team Challenge team winner will receive a commemorative crystal team trophy.

5K & 10K Overall Male and Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
5K & 10K Age Divisions - Male and Female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place: 13 and Under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.
5K Team Challenge - The winning team is decided by the average time of the 5 fastest team members. Team members are also eligible for individual overall and age group awards.

Lodging is available at the newly renovated Hampton Inn and Suites at Shelton Vineyards and Surry Inn, as well as several other area hotels and bed and breakfasts. Call ahead for availability as rooms usually sell out quickly. Dining is available on the grounds of Shelton Vineyard at the Harvest Grill; reservations are recommended by calling 336-366-3590 or through OpenTable.
